I know it's July (well as of this post, it is) but I can't help but look forward to Mousefest 2008 already! I have some exciting plans for Studios Central in 2008 but I wanted to know who's planning on coming down to WDW for Mousefest (land, sea or both).

I'll start things off by saying I have plans to do both land and sea at Mousefest this year. :woot:

Anyone else joining me?

I'll be there solo Matt (for the land portion only) Dec 9th - 16th. I've already booked airfare and partial resort at SSR; however, that may change.

Also, depending on the schedule of events I'd be more than happy to volunteer my services if you need help with anything during Mousefest Land. Just let me know.

Looking forward to seeing everyone there. :D

I'll be there for MF land. Not sure exactly which meets I'm going to just yet. Definitely Podfest. Matt, is Scopa doing Mousefest 101 again this year? I sooo should have went to that last year.

Thanks, I appreciate the offer. I haven't firmed up my MF plans yet for the site totally but if we do a table again this year, I would welcome any and all help we can get for the table during the Mega Mouse Meet. :fozzy:

I think he has plans to, but nothing is cemented yet.

Very unlikely that I'll be there.

Matt you booked the cruise part? Cool! Now you have to convince Newell to book too, for ManCruise II.

I haven't booked anything officially yet but I have tentative plans for the cruise portion. I think Newell is out this year because he's burning through vacation days (much like me but I'll deal with no-pay days off)

I might be there. Depends on how our side business does. We really, really want to come!

If we do I would love to help with the booth.

If anyone is interested in sponsoring (or partially sponsoring) a poor military family this year... let me know.

Mousefest is a gathering for many different internet sites at once in Walt Disney World since many people belong to more than one community. During Mousefest, there are a variety of meets like meets where everyone rides the same ride or sees a show or partakes in a meal.

We just did an episode about Mousefest here: http://www.wdwtoday....080727215041640

Mousefest is a time of year when many Internet sites about WDW hold a week of events in the parks for everyone from the various communities. For instance, for the past 2 years this site has sponsored a Star Tours meet (Here's a photo from last year: http://www.studioscentral.com/board/viewto...p?p=60799#60799 )

Basically there are planned events and people can pick and choose which events they want to go to. Most are simply meets at a ride or show while others involve dinners or such. Last year we held a Fantasmic! Dessert Party as well.

Don't ruin the surprise, but what part of 2009 were you thinking?

I'll be there for Mousefest Land. Got me a few nights at the All Star Resorts, thanks to the gift certificate I won from my nerd-tastic performance at the Star Wars Weekend Dinner.

I might have to go to work on that Thursday, but I'm trying to get the day off on the Friday. We shall see.

Right now Ms. Sith and I are tentatively planning to pop in and out Dec. 12-14th. (We liked last years trip without the little one so much we are trying to see if we can pull it off one more time!)

Most likely NOT for me. Too little vacation time on the books.

Note to self: discuss this problem with boss . . . yea, right!
