I have been watching far too much VH1 lately and I thought it would be cool if we could do some free flow just remembering and goofing on the years that make up what Michael Eisner called "The Disney Decade."

1995 was the year when Mickey Mouse was back in the theaters again with his first short since The Simple Things in 1953, which really was more about Pluto than Mickey. This was the year of Runaway Brain. It's a fun idea to have Mickey's brain switched with a monster. Personally I would trade with Gaston. Man, he is ripped.

yes.. Alien Encounter! I miss that. I hope Stich is good.

95 was a special year for me. it was the year of my Grad Nite at Disney. Later in 95 I landed a job as a Disney Store CM. Back when it was magical to work at the TDS.

I always liked the animatronic displays they would have in the store window and in the store.

I loved Alien Encounter!!! I don't know why they decided to scrap it before it even reached 10...
I always thought that the aliens were cute, and I loved the special effects.

Which of those magical stores did you work at? I spent much of my 90's at Dadeland and the Falls. I just have one horrible Disney Store memory and it involves nightmares about tiney little bean filled plush and large women running me over to try and get them. Ohh the ag-o-ny.

Ahh.. Plush Mountain, as we used to call it. hehe
Yeah those guests used to go crazy for that stuff.

I worked at Dadeland from 1995 to 1997. And then I did part time during Christmas seasons til 2001

it is a small world. I haven’t heard from Doctor Seeker since 96 (97?) I think, when he went back to Orlando.

He asked me to keep his name a secrete. But I'll just say this.. I'll always remember him saying to me...

"Por favor mantengase alejados de las puertas"
