Disney is teaming up with Gowalla to allow social checkins that feature custom Disney badges.

For DHS, there are a few check in options...

Best of TV, which feature: AIE, Disney Channel Rocks & Muppetvision 3D

Thrills, Chills and Spills features Tower of Terror, Rock n Roller Coaster, LMA, Indy & Backlot Tour

Fun for young ones, which features Beauty and the Beast, Voyage of the Little Mermaid, TSMM, Muppetvision & Block Party Bash

I signed up because of this (add me as a friend at http://gowalla.com/users/MattHochberg). Anyone else buying in?

I wonder why they didn't go with Four Square since it is much more popular than Gowalla. I'm currently on Four Square... how are you liking Gowalla so far? Wonder if it is worth the switch.

The Gowalla interface is really great, especially on the iPhone. I'm digging it, although I do wish there was a mayor feature.

Not sure why they went with Gowalla instead of Foursquare. Could be due to cost or just personal preference for whomever made the decision.

Ultimately FourSsquare and Gowalla are nearly the same in features, but I think Gowalla has a much better grasp of design. I imagine the deal was struck between the two because Gowalla sweetened the pot more than it's competitors. Looking forward to testing it out.
