RACE: Sunday, May 2

6:00am - Pro Division

6:45am - Open Division

REGISTRATION: Skaters of all abilities may register online directly or print an application to be completed and mailed.

Through April 1 - $70.00 Marathon; $50.00 Half Marathon

April 2 through May 1 - $80.00 Marathon; $60.00 Half Marathon

No race day registration. Entry Fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

SKATE AND FITNESS EXPO

Saturday, May 1 at the Milk House at Disney's Wide World of Sports® complex from 10am to 6pm. Representatives from the skate and fitness industry will be available to answer questions and exhibit the latest inline products and services. Participants will pick up their race numbers and goody bags at the expo.

RACE DIVISIONS

Professional (Marathon Only): Elite skaters who are USAC, USAIR, or RWC certified
Professional Masters (Marathon Only): Elite skaters who are 35 or older who are USAC, USAIR, or RWC certified
Open (Marathon and Half Marathon): Skaters who are able to maintain the minimum pacing requirements
TIMING

The Walt Disney World® Inline Marathon will be timed using the ChampionChip and FinishLynx. All participants must pick up their Chip prior to the race at the Expo.

MARATHON AND HALF MARATHON PACING REQUIREMENTS

All athletes participating in the Marathon must be able to maintain a pace faster than 7-Minutes per mile. All athletes participating in the Half Marathon must be able to maintain a pace faster than 9-Minutes and 10-Seconds per mile. Anyone not able to maintain these pacing requirements will be transported to the finish line.

RACE COURSE

Disney's Inline Marathon will start at Disney's Wide World of Sports® complex. The loop course will whisk skaters down Hollywood Boulevard inside the Disney-MGM Studios and along a charming coastal village at Disney's BoardWalk Resort, before skating past the eleven nations that comprise World Showcase at Epcot. The race will circle back to Disney's Wide World of Sports for the Half Marathon finish, while the marathoners will complete a second loop for the full 26.2 miles.

SPECTATOR VIEWING AREAS

Spectators are invited to share in the excitement of the Walt Disney World® Inline Marathon and Half Marathon. If you plan to observe the start and finish of both the Marathon and Half Marathon, you must arrive at Disney's Wide World of Sports® complex by 5:00am. Roads will begin closing at 5:30am.

WEATHER POLICY

The Walt Disney World Inline Marathon will take place rain or shine.

RACE SAFETY

Helmets are mandatory to participate in the event. Only inline skates will be permitted. Participants in both the Half Marathon and the Marathon must be 13 years old or older. Knee, wrist guards and elbow pads are recommended. For safety reasons, baby joggers/strollers, headphones, skateboards, and animals will be prohibited on the race course.

AWARDS

Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the Professional and Professional Master race divisions, along with the top three finishers in each age category for the Open race divisions. An awards ceremony will take place at Disney's Wide World of Sports® Complex. Results will be available at the awards ceremony and on-line atwww.disneyworldsports.com

They just updated the start times. Everyone will start at once... 6:30 That should be pretty interesting.

Just watched the paintball wars there this weekend.
