Quick note, you can now earn 2 points for every trip report you post in the Trip Reports forum :P

Hmmm....shall I write a trip report of my very first ever DL trip? :P Can I post old trips reports? :P Just kidding... But I think I have some photos of MNSSHP and my Disney Cruise that I could dig up.

I'm worried though, I am going 4th of July week. I was thinking I could see and do most things in about 3 days....maybe 3.5 and then do other stuff. Now I am thinking with the heat and crowds, I may need all 5 days. Does that sound right for that time of year?

Well with more time, the less you have to do each day. If you can extend your trip, why not? :thumleft:

With it being a major holiday I would say more. I know here at WDW the gates tot he MK usually close fairly early at least a few day on and around the 4th. Not sure how DL stacks up.

We'll be there July 4th through Friday the 9th. I got a 5 day park hopper just in case we don't leave the Disney area. We are staying off property.

We get into Anaheim around 1PM and leave 11am on Friday. So Friday I don't plan on visiting the parks, but I am hoping to get in on Sunday.

Should I be worried about them closing the gates early on July 4th? Any good websites for visiting Disneyland? If we were to have time, what other non-Disney parks or attractions would you recommend?

BTW, thanks for moving my post!! :-)

Let's just say that you shouldn't plan on waking up late that day

This is what concerns me. Our plane doesn't land until 1:30 in the afternoon, and after catching the shuttle and checking into our hotel...I don't forsee us getting to the park gates until 3PM...
I may have to think of an alternate plan if we can't get into either park that afternoon/evening.

I guess if the worse comes, we can hang out in Downtown and catch some movies...

All you're missing on July 4th is heat and crowds. My advice is go swim as soon as you get to the hotel, then dinner at Boardwalk, and then walk to the entrance of the Studios and watch Sorcery in the Sky.
