Welcome to MGMStudios.Org firegal1183!

I went to WDW for a day during Thanksgiving week (Wednesday) and the day after Thanksgiving weekend (Sunday) in 2004. During Thanksgiving weekend, the closer you get to Thanksgiving, the more crowded it is. It's not as bad as say Christmas week but it's gonna be crowded and using FASTPASS is a must. However, once Sunday rolls around and into the next week, it becomes a ghost town. So if you can squeeze in some time after Thanksgiving, it'll be nice and empty. Otherwise, take your time and enjoy being at WDW :)

Weatherwise, it's pretty nice. Shorts weather as I recall.

And I stayed at Port Orleans Riverside also during Thanksgiving.

Same here. Perfect temperature. But I went during Thanksgiving week and it was hell. So, learn from others mistakes and don't go during holiday time!

Like Dan said, if you can avoid holidays/summer then go for it. If you can't then grin and bear it

It's really the 24-27 that are bad. Before and after it's pretty empty.

I once went for Thankgiving weekend, and let me tell you, it ain't pretty.
The crowds are really intense. Its not that enjoyable.

Regarding Coronado. I stayed there this past November and loved it. If you have kids, they will love playing in the Mayan temple area. The resort is big, but everything is within walking distance. They have a great sit down restaurant. Their counter service restaurant is fantastic too.

Coronado is definetly a resort I'd like to stay at. Most likely it will be the next moderate I stay at.
