The annual report has been released. Disney Theme Parks took EIGHT of the Top Ten spots on the "Worldwide" list. They also took the top SEVEN of ten in North America.

It's interesting that attendance was up, even if just slightly, at all the Disney World parks.

Hmm Walt Disney studios park in Paris is the only one that didn't make the list of the Disney parks. Interesting

The Themed Entertainment Association have just released their 2009 theme park attendance report. These are estimates, not official numbers.

Top 25 theme parks

1. Magic Kingdom: 17,233,000 - +1%
2. Disneyland: 15,900,000 - +8%
3. Tokyo Disneyland: 13,646,00 - -4.5%
4. Disneyland Paris: 12,740,000 - +0.4%
5. Tokyo DisneySea: 12,004,000 - -4%
6. Epcot: 10,990,000 - +0.5%
7. Disney's Hollywood Studios: 9,700,000 - +1%
8. Disney's Animal Kingdom: 9,590,000 - +0.5%

Not surprising. Brand loyalty means a lot in bad economic times, which I think in part helped Disney weather a bad economy quite nicely.

For better or for worse, Disney sort of has an immunity to things. While that can be good for the company, sometimes they don't push the envelope as much as they could.
