Hi All,

Some interesting DVC news came out yesterday.

- DVC resort point charts have been adjusted to reduce points on weekend evening stays (Friday & Saturday nights). Weekday evening stays (Sun - Thursday) have been increased. Basically, staying a full week won't really change your point usage; however, staying only a few nights during the week or on a weekend will change depending on your duration and schedule.

- The new table service restaurant at the Animal Kingdom Villas (Kidani Village) called Sanaa will begin accepting ADRs on Feb 16th. The restaurant will open along with the new resort on May 1st. It is an African and Indian inspired menu.

- DVC members can only waitlist twice per year, per membership according to the DVC member site. You can no longer wait list an unlimited amount of times during your use year.

I'm really interested to see what AKV is like when it opens, I've been thinking about buying into DVC. Sanaa sounds like an interesting restaurant, I'm looking forward to seeing the menu!

Is there a good place online to see DVC point charts?

Sanaa sounds like a Star Trek alien species.

We love the Animal Kingdom. It is becoming our families favorite resort next to the Poly. I'm curious to see what impact the new resort will have on the overall experience at AKL/AKV. The other concern I have is Kidani Village will not have a CS location. Maybe snacks in the gift shop, or small items to purchase at the pool bar. The Mara may get a lot more traffic once the new building is completely open.

I just checked the points for my resort (OKW) and it looks like nothing changed between 2008 & 2009....

The change in points will start with the 2010 point charts. The 2009 point charts can't change since they have been made public already. I believe the 2010 charts are up on the member website, but i am not sure. i know we do not have them over at the sales center yet.

Ok.. I'll check the member website tomorrow... seems, from one of the DVC member forum boards, that a draft version was posted briefly on the DVC member website but then quickly taken down because they weren't finalized.... Haven't checked the DVC forum board lately to see what's going on... I'll do that tomorrow as well (and report back)

I went out to the DVC member site this evening and the 2010 points are posted. For Adventure season at OKW, the points actually went down a bit!!!
