Great Time, for sure! We got home late last night.

On Friday, we started in line for the mdse outside, past WWTBAM. By the time we made it inside, we saw the queue line curving back and forth inside. After 30 min. inside and not moving too much, we left and decided to try again Sat AM, since it was EMH.

We got to MGM about 7:45, stormtroopers on the roof already. They let us in about 10 (?) min early and stopped everyone before the hat. They were letting people line up for the fast passes, but I understand they didn't start passing them out until 9. At about 8:10 or so, they escorted us back to Mickey Avenue. We were maybe 20th or so in the door. Spent about 30 minutes inside - the two weekend pins - Han Solo and Stormtrooper and R2 and 3PO - were sold out. The XWing is awsome. By the time we left the store, there was still NO line to get in.

We wanted to get a pic with Vader, but still had about 20 min or so until it opened, so we walked over to the Republic side for a bit. When we got back, the line was about 30 deep. They had some kind of prop issue, and by 9:15 it still wasn't open so we left.

We were happy with our tshirts, event pin and Darth Goofy, as we weren't looking to buy any big ticket items, and were'nt too interested in the long lines for autographs. We were able to get photos of Rick and Peter just as they were coming out to their autograph booths. We did find the Jedi Mickey sketches at Once Upon a Time, by the TOT. We bought a green sketch - Jedi, of course. They're 11 x 14 unframed. Very cool.

Caught one of the Stars of the Saga shows, too. Warwick Davis is great, as were Peter and Rick. The stormtroopers doing the "pre-show warmup" were funny. (Knock-knock - who's there? - Ewok - Ewok who? Ewok-ed the door, let me in!)

We were sorry to miss the 2:00 meet on Saturday. We had reservations at Planet Hollywood at 4:30, Cirque du Soleil at 6:00 (awesome show, by the way), and wanted to hit Downtown Marketplace before. We got Jabba's Sailbarge at the Lego store, and just put it together this morning. Very cool.

Hope you all have a great time at the upcoming weekends. We're so bummed to be home and done with our trip, but are already looking forward to 2007 (oh, please - oh, please!)

Just curious, why did you move it from the original thread?

It's a trip report and thought it belonged here more than it did where you posted it. :thumleft:

Oops, sorry about that! I didn't realize there was a specific area - my mistake . . .
