I just saw this and I like the sounds of it. I hope the food is good and the picnic spots are well placed.

Of course, it doesn't sound so appealing when it's 95 degrees out in the Summer; especially at the Animal Kingdom. It's always 5 or 10 degrees hotter in that park.

It seems okay...I just wonder about the logistics. I'm not crazy about everyone having to have the same meal and then wandering around AK to find a spot to eat.

I think there enough little spots around AK for people to sit.
Personally, I like Dinolaud because there is hardly ever anyone there

I think this is a great idea, at a great price, and the menu's look amazing as well. I really think this could catch on and become a popular option.

Actually I tried it this past Saturday, we loved it. Went to the bakery by kilamanjaro safaris around 9:30am to order. They give you a sheet of paper with all your options, we chose the meal for 3, ham grinder, chicken wrap and turkey sandwich, 2 brownies and a cookie, for sides we got potato chips (when you order the chips each member of the group gets a bag). We decided on a p/u time of 11:45am. got there 15 min late, I gave the copy of the sheet to the CM and while she was taking in the payment they handed us the bag with everything, it was less than 3min. They give you plates, napkins, flatware, mayo, mustard. We went to the area close to where DeVine comes out (the path between Africa and Asia) to the left, there's a little hill with a creek, they had 2 tables each with 4 chairs, nobody went up there, I don't think alot of people know about this little area, it was shaded and very quite. The food was great, we decided to leave the deserts for later because we were full. The only bad thing is that they only give you water for drinks but it came in handy later in the day. Overall, we enjoyed the experience and might try the chicken next time. It's only offered at AK but I hope they include it in the other parks.

Great show this Friday Matt. I plan on trying this out in December with the family. We'll probably do tier 2 with rotisseree chicken.

I know I haven't been since 2008, but I have never had an issue with the counter service meals being Adult vs Kids... they always seem to be lumped together, as the majority of counter service eateries have no specific kids meal.

For example, when we checked in for our 8 day vacation last year, I'm pretty sure after our first breakfast (counter service @ Animal kingdom) it read "18 quick service credits remain" on the receipt.

Has this changed?
