question about reservations in general

I had a question in general.
I'm gonna be working at Disney this summer and my parents are coming to visit. I want to make ADR for them for the 4 of us, but I'm not sure I can go with them.
Is it possible to make a reservation for 4 people and just have 3 show up at the restaurant? I saw the previous post where someone couldn't lower the number from 3 to 2. Is that the case with all ADR or just the pre-pay ones?

I know I have been there and showed up with one or 2 less people and its never been a problem
I would say that if you know for certain ahead of time, even earlier in the day, it may be a benefit to call the place and give them a heads up. But its not that big of deal for you since it goes from 4 to 3, I doubt that would effect the table you are at. If you went from 6 to 4, that would have more of an impact

"I cant really make any suggestions, but if your third person was sick that day I dont think they would give you too much trouble."
So worst case... my third member will be throwing up at the hotel. I have a room key with their name on it already. 8)

Right now the schedule is:
Wednesday: Crystal Palace (lunch)
Thursday: Boma or Sanaa (not sure which yet)
Friday: Le Cellier
Saturday: 50's prime time
Sunday: Beaches and Cream
As you can see, those last few days are still blank.
Anyone have any good recommendations? It's for my family, and we like nice food and especially atmosphere but don't want to pay a lot.
One last question, is the 90 day window for your vacation in general or for every day. So if I want reservations for the last day of my trip, do I wait until 90 before that specific day or just 90 days until my arrival?
Thanks for all the help!!

Pre-paid ADR's we had a person not able to make it due to sickness. We paid for the meal, and they gave us a Disney giftcard to make up for the amount of the meal. It worked out fine.
For the regular ADR's, if your numbers are less than what you expected be sure to check the bill to make sure you are charged for what actually showed up and not what was on the reservation. This has happened to us a few times. It's no biggie, it just saves a little hassle.
As far as suggestions for Mon Tues & Wed, for me it always depends where I'll be, but here are some of my family faves: Tusker House (lunch...same as dinner, just cheaper, Chef Mickey (late breakfast 10:30ish and you can hit lunch too), Teppan Edo & Ohanna (dinner). Enjoy!

CA Grill is a favorite, but it probably goes in the "pay a lot" category.
