I just read that the opening day is scheduled for 10/14...my son's birthday and unfortunately 2 days after we leave :(

Any chance they will do "soft openings" for this place during the week before? I realize it isn't owned by Disney but thought someone might know the answer. Thanks!

The only thing I've heard suggested a November opening.

It was in the AllEars newsletter a little while ago. Deb's site is saying mid October now.

I've seen October 14th as well. Also, ADRs will not be accepted until January. The time between October 14th and January walk-ups will only be accepeted. The restaurant has not agreed to be on the DDP as of yet.

Hey Kim, I just wanted to let you know your date is correct!

There is a sign posted on the construction walls that T-REX will be open starting October 14th! No clue about soft openings though.

I'm planning on dining there for lunch on 10/20 at around Noon. I'll let everyone know how it goes and post some pictures.

If the date is accurate, we'll likely try lunch there on the 15th, before we depart Saratoga Springs for home.

However, 407-WDW-DINE has the opening info as Mid-November in their computers; as of a couple of weeks ago.

10/14 was reported on WDW Radio this week with an interview of Steve Schussler, the concept designer for the restaurant. Nothing about soft openings was mentioned.

It was open as planne don th 14th... and the line stretched all the way to the LEGO store.

It looked great; there was an animatronic T-Rex inside that I could see from outside, and the outside facade is fetooned with a T-Rex skeleton and one of a diplodocus.

Looks great... no opinion on the food until I get in!

Yeah, I also caught a video on it too. http://www.youtube.c...h?v=c1dbWHe0WLE

I don't want to be a total downer, but I'm very "meh" to the whole thing. I had a meal at Rainforest Cafe and didn't love it. It was dark and the show wasn't really up my alley. This seems like more of the same. Anyone eaten there yet?

My family are there when we were down on the 24th of Oct. the food was good. Prices were high but that is normal. My 15 month daughter loved the fish tank, and the animals until they moved when she was trying to pet them. I was not able to have dessert because it was all ice cream or had nuts on them. my sister in law is soo allergic to nuts that if had them and touched her son and then she touch the same stop she would be looking for the nearest ER. So if you do not mind spending a little and do not have any dinosaur fears it is not bad.
