The original idea for the Tower of Terror was to have the ride in a hotel in the park. Would you have stayed in that hotel? You would have to think that the resort would be on the level of the Grand Floridian and Wilderness Lodge. That would have been a huge investment in something that has never been tried before. The Stratosphere is the closest anyone has come with an intergrated ride system and they have trouble with people staying there. They are also at the very end of the strip, but there is the whole heights thing going on as well.

If money was no object I'm sure I would have. Seems like a great idea.

I can't afford to stay at GF priced hotels, so I wouldn't.

What if you had the room right next to the shaft. It is loud and the screams could get on your nerves.

well that would mean that you would of been in the room during the day. who will do that? you should be in the parks or on the ride. and there is always sound proof walls.

if money was no option, i would of stayed there.

I'm sure Disney would work in some soundproofing

I will tell you that the shafts build up a lot of air pressure. They are just great big air pumps.

You've never been in the break room, it's right between the shafts. Soundproofing wouldn't help that.

Take the Disney Cruise ships as an example. Those engines make a huge amount of noise but that's soundproofed.

They're diesel. I learned that in the galley tour. They are loud, but they are able to hide it well due to the fact that the ship is in millions of gallons of water. That might play a factor there.
