Hi -
I'm new here - came here looking for more news about a Fantasmic Rehab from Jan 25 - Feb 1 listed on The DIS website. I'm going to try to list it:

http://www.wdwinfo.c...winfo/rehab.htm

Any more info would be appreciated as we are going 1/25/04 - leaving 2/2/04 and would hate to miss Fantasmic. But would rather know ahead of time if it must be.

Thanks. Glad I found this site - a lot of good info on the Studios.

Welcome to MGMStudios.Org BarbB!

This is the first I've heard of such a rehab. I'm sure Jillian, our "resident" CM can shed some light on this for you.

I haven't heard of those dates, and checking the calendar, I don't see it listed as going down either, it has show times listed for those dates. As always I'll keep you all informed :)

Just got off the phone with WDW DINE and the CM confirmed that Fantasmic will be in rehab Jan 25 - Feb 1 (reopening the 2nd) - at least it was in her computer system. Too bad - we'll miss it.

Interesting because I am a CM at Fantasmic, and it's not on the calendar.

No, it's just that it ticks me off about those things, and I seem to recall this about the Coaster rehab too...and who was correct on it? ;)

I will stay tuned for your updates, Jillian. Maybe there is hope. As I know you can't always count on the "official" news. Telling the CMs and the public different stories sems to be a common occurence. Glad we have you on our side.
Thank you.

Fantasmic is going down for rehab on Monday 1/25/04 and will be back for Saturday 1/31. There are two shows scheduled Sat/Sun due to the expected crowds in the Park. Also Indiana Jones won't be running on Saturday 1/31 for the National Dance Championships. Extra character signings are planned in the park during the downtime

Thanks. We're excited that Fantasmic! will be up before we go home. We're going to catch it Sat 1/31 or Sun 2/1. I heard 2 shows were running Sat 1/31 - when you say 2 shows on Sun do you mean 2/1 (Superbowl Sun) or the previous Sun before it closes?

I know there are 2 showings of Fantasmic on the day before it closes(Jan 25) and the day after it re-opens(Jan 31). Refer to http://calendar.mgmstudios.org/index.php?month=1&year=2004 for more info :D

Matt is correct :D

(Stitch said the wrong date for the close, it's the 26th not the 25th, but Monday is correct.)

For those interested, goings on at Fantasmic this week :)
-Steamboat Willie got a new deck, the perimeter speakers at the waters edge were all replaced, the underwater lights were all replaced, the moat was drained and cleaned, the walls scrubbed (they were gross!!), ummm what else.... I can't think of anything off the top of my head but I know there were some other things, I will update this when I remember what they were :P hehe I knew it, spot repairs to the mountain, performance flooring replaces and moat bumpers were being extended.
