Power Rangers Morphing Vehicle

If you have kids around the ages of 5 and 8, you may be well versed in the Power Rangers.  And Yes, the Power Rangers are still around and they are property of Disney after Disney aquired then Fox Family Channel (now called ABC Family Channel) and with the channel came the rights to the Power Rangers.

For a few years the Power Rangers have had a meet-n-greet on the Streets of America and the vehicle they arrive in style with actually is a relic from another form of character entertainment.

The Power Rangers Morhping vehicle is the same car that was used in the Stars and Motor Cars Parade that ran at Hollywood Studios from 2001 until it was replaced by Block Party Bash in 2008.  Back then, it was the Hercules car, which featured characters from the Hercules film including Hercules himself, Meg with Phil, Pain and Panic walking around the vehicle.  In late 2004, the Hercules vehicle was removed from the parade and the car was completely remodeled to be ready for the Spring 2005 debut of the Power Rangers at Hollywood Studios.  While the rest of the cars from the Stars and Motor Cars Parade have moved on to Disneyland Paris, the Hercules car remains in the Studios, albeit in a slightly different form.

Special thanks to the Disneyshawn blog for some of this information for this week’s entry.
