We woke up around 7 or so and could see Eleuthera, a skinny island in the Bahamas, off the starboard side. Today was our first full day at sea. We had breakfast at Lumiére’s, nothing spectacular food wise, just regular breakfast stuff like bacon and eggs; but like so many other things at Disney the atmosphere made it great. After breakfast we did a little bit of walking around and checking out today’s Navigator. We decided to go to Disney’s Art of Entertaining- “Great Expectations- The Appetizer”. One of the chefs taught us how to make warm water shrimp salad with red onion cucumber salsa. They passed out some to everyone, it looked really good, but it had mushrooms so I couldn’t eat it. The mushrooms can be easily taken out pf the recipe. We are planning to try it at home and I can't wait to try it. We walked around to the gift shops to do some pin trading with the CMs. We didn’t buy anything but wanted to pin trade and see what new merchandise was set out (they change it every day at Treasure Ketch.). This time it was Golden Mickey statue awards and gold by the inch. They had some really cute charms on the chains too. Up for some yummy ice cream, we walked around the deck and ate it. There is just so much walking that can be done and things to see, you could do nothing but walk around the whole time and still not see everything. Soon it was time for the Port Shopping Presentation with Clyde; he gave lots of shopping tips on where to shop and what to get. Lunch was pretty good, but it was quick so we could make it to the next thing the next Disney’s Art of Entertaining, fruit carving and mixology cocktail making. The fruit carving was amazing. The drinks looked pretty easy- but they passed out how to make them, along with a Bahama Mama for everyone. We learned how to make margaritas, cosmopolitans, cool breezes, yellow birds, and Bahama Mamas. After each drink was demonstrated it was given out to an audience member, my boyfriend won a yellow bird. Back to the room to plan the rest of the day, chill and watch the gorgeous view of the ocean. While we were there we saw San Salvador as we were passing it. After that we were going to the salsa lessons they were giving, but the area was too small to dance in and you couldn’t see the instructor, so we walked around some more and got more ice cream. Time to head back to the room, and change for the formal night. We did one of our formal portraits, and then went to see The Golden Mickeys. We thought it was a pretty cute show, even with the little spelling error they had in it. After that we did the rest of our formals, unfortunately that meant missing the Captain’s Welcome Reception. We had dinner at Animator’s Palate; it was our only night dinning there that we’d get to see the room change to all the pretty colors. That was amazing. After dinner we walked around the deck some more, it’s just so pretty out there and then we went to bed.
