I just found this article:
http://land.allears.net/blogs/jackspence/2..._of_terror.html

I didn't realize the Tower of Terror was viewable from Epcot (scroll down to the bottom). I'll have to check it out on my next trip.

Yep, it's a great detail, but you need to see it near the connection between Future World & World Showcase

I just found this on another message board:

Quote

When you exit from the library to get in line for the ride there is a wall of electrical boxes and one of them if you pull the handle makes a very loud bang sound. If you happen to be in a large group when you come out they all get a good scare from the loud bang. We've done this a few times.

I can't wait to try this out later this month.

As far as seeing Tower from World Showcase. This is the best way I can describe where to see it... somewhere in this general area....

No problem. The best spot for Tower to be "centered" behind Morocco is when you are right by the torch for Illuminations. But if you start farther to either side of it, you can watch it line up with Morocco, which is pretty cool.

I did not check it out personally but I did some research and evidently it makes a noise. I'll try for next Sunday.

I don't know why but I still have not gone on the Tower of Terror... I think I'm just a scardy-cat.

At the very least go through the preshow and you can chicken out before loading the elevator so you can enjoy the wonderful theming and preshow.

I want to ride it but I hate that dropping feeling.. maybe I'll just have to suck it up and do it. Maybe I can get on it Thanksgiving weekend, but not before our dinner at the Sci-Fi.. :content:

SaraPB-
Do you do any of the other "drop" rides like RnR, Splash, etc? IMO, even if you hate the drop, you should at least ride each one once to experience the ride. I think you will be hooked! I HATE "real" roller coasters like the wooden ones that are/were at most amusement parks all over the US but LOVE all the rides at WDW.

Debbie-
Yes, I like Splash Mtn. and RnR, and when I go to Universal I even ride the hulk. I don't know wht it is but just dropping makes me nervous. I think I'm just not meant to ride it.. I got in line this weekend but I turned around 10 min into it and walked out.. Yeah, I think I'm phobic.

It just makes you appreciate the hard work and effot that the Imagineers put into this stuff.

Don't worry. I still haven't ridden it either. Still need to get my courage up.
