Meet the Staff

Matt Hochberg

Founder, Columnist

Matt founded Studios Central (then called MGMStudios.Org) in 2002 after wanting to share his passion for Disney’s Hollywood Studios/Disney-MGM Studios.  Matt wanted to create a site to be the source of information on the Studios and explore every nuance that the park has to offer.

Matt moved to Florida in 2008 to follow his dream of living closer to the magic.  In the years since, Matt has spent many hours inside DIsney’s Hollywood Studios, exploring the park, conducting research and enjoying the entertainment the park offers.

In his spare time, Matt also runs sister sites RocknRollerCoaster.com and TowerOfTerror.org. Matt also hosts the WDW Today podcast, which is an internet radio show covering topics about Walt Disney World.

Glenn Sonoda

Senior Contributor

Glenn has been an integral part of Studios Central since he joined the staff in 2007 as a columnist and more recently, he’s moved on to become a reporter in the Studios, support team member and Star Wars Weekend coordinator.

Like so many Disney World fans, his geekiness is not limited to the Mouse.  He is an avid fan of the Star Wars films, Back to the Future and Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Chris Reid

Columnist

Chris Reid’s first visit to a Disney park was in 1997 – at the then-MGM Studios. He immediately fell in love with the park and all the magic if offered. He has a genuine interest in the development of the studios ever since then and follows news and updates closely. His favorite attraction at Walt Disney World is The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Chris also spends a lot of his WDW vacations at Blizzard Beach, plunging down Summit Plummet.

Chris is the host of Cosmic Reid’s Starlight Cafe on Magical Mouse Radio, broadcasting live Walt Disney World music and information every Monday at 1:00pm Eastern.

Aaron DelPrince

Columnist

Aaron DelPrince and his family have been visiting the Walt Disney World resort since 1994. A theme park fan since he was young Aaron continually follows the events and activities at Hollywood Studios and the rest of Walt Disney World.

A very active member of the Disney fan community, Aaron hosts an annual Disney meet in the Midwest and enjoys spending time with his family. As a Disney World food
addict, Aaron enjoys dining at Mama Melrose’s Ristorante and snacking at Starring Rolls Bakery inside Hollywood Studios.

You can friend Aaron on Facebook.

Andrew Poole

Columnist, Technical Consultant

Since his first visit to Disneyland Paris in 2001, Andrew has been to both Disneyland Paris and Walt Disney World. Being based in the UK means that Andrew doesn’t get out to the parks as often as he’d like, however he was a Cast Member at Disney’s Hollywood Studios for a few months in 2006 on one of Disney’s International Programmes.

Andrew takes his role as chief procrastinator at Studios Central very seriously and has promised more articles “soon”. Matt often runs to Andrew when things look broken on the website, many of which are met with more procrastination.

Andrew’s favourite attractions at the Studios are the Great Movie Ride and Fantasmic! He also enjoys replacing the vowels that Matt (in his American style) has arbitrarily removed, and swapping “er” back to “re” in words like “Centre”. Outside Studios Central, Andrew has several unfinished projects, further perfecting his procrastination skills.

Jennifer von Hoffman

Columnist

Jennifer von Hoffman fell in love with Disney as a kid growing up in Northern California, in the midst of the 1970s Marin County cultural revolution. Disneyland was a place where the rules were clear, magic was afoot, and the good guys always won. After a few precious visits to Disneyland as a child, she fell head-over-heels all over again during a visit to Tokyo Disneyland in 2002. Since then, she’s visited most Disney parks around the world (missing only Tokyo Disneysea and Hong Kong Disneyland), though the original Anaheim park still holds a most special place in her heart.

Jennifer also writes a blog at BrokeHoedown.com, and co-hosts the Those Darn Cats podcast.

Shane Grizzard

Blogger

Shane has been vacationing to Walt Disney World for as long as he can remember, and The Studios has always been his favorite park. He loves all the thrill rides, but he’s absolutely fine sitting on a bench all day watching Streetmosphere- hence the “Tales from the Bench” blog. Shane’s Favorite Bench is located at the Beverly Sunset Sweet Spells in front of the Poisoned Apple window.

Shane has been living in Orlando since 2009. He works at the “other” Studios park and also blogs for Disney Driven Life about the “Hidden Treasures” of Walt Disney World.

Ashley Reeve

Columnist

Ashley Reeve has been a fan of the Mouse since early childhood. Her love of Disney has grown through the years with Disney’s culture in food, resorts, attractions and entertainment. She is a foodie and loves sharing her passion for Disney cuisine through her writing. Ashley is an avid believer that while you are at Disney everyone
is a kid again.

Along with being a columnist at Studio Central, Ashley also manages her own Disney Fan site, acupofdisney.com where she shares Disney information, vacation tips, videos and Disney recipes. She also currently blogs for The Disney Driven Life.
