When I went Christmas '03, we didn't have time to try it, but when I go back I'll see...

That hasn't happened to me yet but I'd be royally pissed. It's such a tease.

I love that sort of attention. I usually get it after volunteering at Backlot Tour

I have never felt the hot seat myself, only once have I even hit the top 10. It seems like the people who get picked are almost always the folks sitting behind the host. Its one of my many baseless conspiracy theories. The only time I get a bit irked is when they stop the show early because one of the contestants bombed out early.

:) I love baseless conspiracy theories. It really is all about technique...and of course knowing the answers. Practice makes perfect and if you play it enough, you should get to the point where you're always somewhere on the top 10. Rob posted a thread about WWTBAM strategies somewhere around here.

EDIT: Here it is: http://mgmstudios.or...opic.php?t=1027

That happened to me too! Since I hate being in the spotlight it didn't bother me too much...I was actually a little relieved :)

DH was in the hot seat once and he lost it on a high level (forgot which one) It was about something in french. I knew the answer and I still tease him about it when it comes up.

He was also on the original WWTBAM with Regis but didn't make it to the hot seat there. Only 2 guys got in that night and 1 went on to win $120,000? (or whatever the level is before the million) The other finished the next night and won the million.

Never been, but I've been close... infact Miri, Max, Alan, and I were all up there then when you got up there Matt, we fell off the top ten board. lol. I've been number two a couple times... but that's it.

I was at the top of the list once when time ran out too!
I was so mad! But I got over it, because at first I thought the pins you win, you could choose different Disney ones. Then I saw a little girl at the park who was in the hot seat and she had pins that had the dollar amounts on them. LAME!

Do they ever have Disney themed days or is it always random trivia?

I'm not able to, working there and all. But I have been on the board several times. It bores me, so I don't really mind :D

For me, it's cruise or nothing. The pins, hats and shirts I won are still in the baggies. I'll probably do a give-away with them sooner or later.

It's always random trivia, with the exception of SWW when they have 2 shows a day for Star Wars only. I should also note that some of the first 5 questions (the easy ones up to 1000 points) do tend to have some Disney and/or Disney World theme to them

i wasn't too upset about not winning the big prize since back then it was a trip to nyc and not the cruise; the fact that i live on long island made the top prize not all that spectacular for me because i can go there anytime i want; the cap and pins were okay by me; however, for bragging rights i would have liked to hit the million mark ;-);

Same here, the NYC trip was nothing to get excited over. I'm glad they changed it.

Haha, yes I did get into the hot seat, as you know from my report! It was on SWW and I got to the million and missed it! :(

Welcome to MGMStudios.Org Paige!

So close, yet so far, eh? I know how frustrating it can be to get in the hot seat and not make it but at least you got to the million point question. Nice work :(
