What are all the movies featured on the ride, in particular what John Wayne movie, Clint Eastwood movie, and Horror movie are they specifically referring to on the ride?

This seems to be a reasonable list: http://www.amazon.co.../R2J9J00LAIKTG8. I actually always thought the John Wayne scene was supposed to be from The Searchers, like the trailer, but possibly not. The skeletons and mummies just seem generic to me.

So apparently Lee marvin was going to be in The Great Movie Ride instead of Clint Eastwood as a reference to his character from Cat Ballou. Interesting...

Very interesting article indeed. I'm glad Clint ended up on the ride though. So the question still remains as to which Horror movie is specifically being referenced...

There is no specific horror movie being referenced, they went generic here. Those horror movies of the 30s and 40s your guide mentions were primarily Universal movies (Dracula, Frankenstein, The Invisible Man, The Mummy, The Bride of Frankenstein, The Wolf Man, etc.). So as you can imagine, their theme park competitor isn't going to give them the rights to these instantly recognizable characters, which means they had to go generic.

Yet none of those feature the mummy like creatures featured in the ride. There has to be some kind of inspiration
