I just booked lunch for myself and my daughter to celebrate her b-day on Oct.24, we never had done Crystal Palace mainly because we're not really into Pooh and Friends, but it's the only restaurant that we haven't tried at MK so I decided to give it a shot. After reading reviews on allears I'm now concerned, mostly bad reviews about wait time but some are for quality of food. We have an 11:30 ressie for lunch so I'm not that concerned about wait time, but what do you guys think? is the food really that terrible??

I liked the food at Crystal Palace. In my experience, I've found it to be one of the better buffets food wise. The downsides of the place is that it's expensive and it does get crowded outside with people trying to get in.

I would definitely go for it!

The Crystal Palace is the best table service restaurant in the Magic Kingdom (The Plaza Restaurant is a close 2nd). You should definately go.

I might be the only one... but I really like Liberty Tree. I know it is not what it used to be... but I am a sucker for meat, stuffing and Mac and Cheese... Thanksgiving is my favorite meal of the year... so to top off a day at the park with a nice thanksgiving style meal... mmmm... mmmm... Good!

That being said, I have only had CP for breakfast. Maybe next trip I will try lunch or dinner...

To each their own Mark, but I really disliked Liberty Tree. Both CP and Liberty Tree are expensive but I found the food at CP to be much better, in my opinion.

I know my affinity for Liberty Tree is solely based on my intense love of thanksgiving type fare. Hands down. I dont think the quality is any better than I would get at say a cafateria meal... but there is somethign psychologically pleasing about it so I keep going back.

That being said next trip I just might have to try out the CP for lunch or dinner... especially if I am on free dining!

If I end up with extra credits (like I always seem to...) I'll pencil you in Matt.

I agree with Matt...go for it! The food is fine, the ambiance is bright and lively. They had a wonderful selection of food when we were there in March 09. The staff was very friendly. When my daughter started to get sick while waiting outside from low blood sugar & heat a CM, not me, noticed she was crying. They brought all of us inside gave her water some chix & rice with in a few minutes Pooh was over to check on her too. Whenever we walk by CP I always smile.
