I am a newbie when it comes to hidden posts. How do they work? I would love to participate in the trivia and picture of the week but I and Mousekedude don't get how this works and how to use it.

Please help!!

The hidden post feature is very simple to use. The only time we use it on this forum is for Trivia, Picture and Quote of the week, which can be found towards the bottom of the board index.

To make a hidden post, you must type hide first, then type in your answer. At the end of the post you must end with /hide, BUT make sure to put these brackets [ ] on the outside of both hides, otherwise it won't work. That's the best I can show you how to do it since the forum doesn't like that I wasn't completing the tags.

The point of a hidden post is to ensure you get your answer in but no one else can see it (so no cheating). It's a means of ensuring everyone has a fair shot at answering the question.

Well, I guess if I would just read......I could have found the answer. I was so hung up on how to do this that I never stopped to pay attention to see that instructions on how to hide are detailed at the beginning of each Trivia, Picture and Quote of the week.. Sorry guys...
