Help
In an effort to keep this site up-to-date in terms of reviews of the cuisine, I've been dining at the sit-down restaurants again to see how things are recently. As we all know dining experiences can change at the restaurants, especially over the years.
I ate at Hollywood & Vine for dinner last month, so which sit down restaurant should I dine at next?
Brown Derby
50's Primetime Cafe
Mama Melrose
Sci-Fi (I shall send evil spirits to haunt anyone who makes me go here)
Better yet, if anyone is planning a trip down soon, you can join me to eat here and help make a better review (I can only eat so much food)

Considering the prices of the Brown Derby that might be an even squash!
I've kind of become a fan of Mama Melrose so suggesting that would make me bias.
Okay, never mind. I vote for Mama Melrose.
Just out of curiosity Matt are you going to include any counter service locations for your review?

The 50s Prime Time has been one of my favorites for over a decade. My last trip in December I was dissappointed. It seems the quality of the food as well as the portion size has decreased dramatically, although the prices have maintained a rapidly rising rate. I think you should give us an honest assessment of this restaurant.

Yes, although I work those in far more often as I tend to have lunch at the Studios. I frequent Backlot Express or ABC Commissary nearly weekly.

While I feel CS at the Studios is the worst of the 4 parks, you are lucky to be able to go weekly. I envy you my friend
Mouse Extra Dave and I (as well as our families) will be there in May and won't be going to Sci-Fi unfortunately. But the gang is trying Brown Derby for the first time.
My vote for you though is clearly the Sci-Fi, the best TS in all of MGM

For your next review - I think I'd like to hear more about Brown Derby, because I haven't been there. My second choice would be 50's Primetime Cafe. I've only been there once; it was crowded because of the pouring rain, I did really like my pot roast even though the portion seemed small.
Mama Melrose - I've eaten here a # of time and like it. I was a bit disappointed during my last trip that they no longer give you bread with your order, unless you buy a bread platter. I bought the platter, but was annoyed because it was more bread then we could eat.
Sci-Fi - I've been there; would only go back for the uniqueness of it - the food is terrible.

I vote for Mama Melrose's. I really enjoy it now. I really didn't like it 3-4 years ago but they've changed the menu a bit and I like it now.

Matt, how I'd suggest either 50's Prime Time or Sci Fi. I plan to eat lunch at Mamma Melrose's on Saturday June 7th if all goes as planned.

I may have to save Mama Melrose for when we have lunch there during SWW. It looks like it's gonna be Brown Derby or Primetime next... I'll give it through the weekend before making an ADR

I say Sci-fi. Bring on the spirits, I have the incense and incantations ready to send them back at ya.

What water? We are still in a drought. So maybe my brain was dehydrated :-)
At Backlot I got the Grilled Turkey & Cheese with arugula and red peppers served with French fries. (as I was trying to stay away from burgers for the week). It was bland, so I even added mayo and mustard to it...still bland. The fries were cold. And I found the decor very lacking in a theme. Yeah all of the stuff were "prop" related but it just looked like stuff they had left over and just put up because they couldn't think of anything else. They opened late as they were having a staff meeting but yet the doors were open and anyone could walk in, I found that odd.
But I will give it another chance sometime, but honestly it was my worse meal that whole week.

Gotta say, I did not care for the Backlot either
