Guess the question is, who do you think should take over?

Guess the question is, who do you think should take over?

Considering the fragile relationship we have together, I'd say it would be time for Mickey to take a step back from his duties and let a relatively unknown cartoon character take his position.

Real answer: As much as I've envisioned a career in voice acting, I don't think I could be the new voice of the Mouse. Nobody can replicate that inimitable Mouse squeak. Besides, I don't think my range can go that far.

What a shame, and still young.

Rest In Peace, and our condolences go out to his wife, fans and the the whole Disney Universe.

I have heard SO many people talk about him, including dozens and dozens of people who have met and worked with him, and NO ONE has ever had a bad word to say about him.

A good friend of mine is very close to Wayne and his wife Russi Taylor(the voice of Minnie). She too spoke so highly of both of them. Sounds like he was a very good man who will be missed so much. I can't imagine how hard it is for Russi Taylor right now, and it may be tougher when she records Minnie with someone else as Mickey.

Absolutely.

My wife and I were discussing this earlier, saying how doubly hard this must be on her.

What an unfortunate situation. Just can't imagine how to deal with something like that.

Best wishes to her, and hope that she knows there are a TON of people out there praying for / thinking of her.

So sad... I can't imagine how difficult it must be for his wife to not only lose her husband but also her voice acting partner. My deepest condolences...

Very sad. Agreed, it will be difficult for his wife to record Minnie with a strange Mickey.

I hadn't realized that the voice of Minnie and Mickey were a real life love story. It is very nice that together they brought our friends to life.
