Hi Fellow Disney Lovers!

As I've mentioned before, we are visiting Disney in 39 days and I have a question...

We have just booked the "Backstage Magic Tour" which is 7 hours long - visiting all the parks (with lunch at Mama Mia's) I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this tour.

I'm so excited - can't wait!

I did that tour last September. I really enjoyed it. It had a lot of substance and the 7 hours really went by fast. With the closing of Wonders of life, I'm sure some things have changed.

Here's a quick Cliff notes version :wink:
We started at the entrance to EPCOT and boarded a bus(it was a Mears bus, not a Disney Transport bus. I thought that was strange). We went to the American Adventure backstage and saw the anamatronics and how they worked, a walk through the backstage areas behind Mexico, then to Body Wars to see how the simulator worked. (I read somewhere that you may also go into Ellen's Energy Adventure now that Wonders is mostly closed).

At MGM you are taken to the costuming building and then to Momma Melrose for lunch. And the lunch was awesome!!! Family style servings of the best stuff on the menu.

At the Magic Kingdom we went into the utiladors under Main Street and were shown a few areas there and then back to Main Street for an explanation of the names on the windows and to watch the Share a Dream parade.

It was well worth the 7 hours. I have taken a bunch of the tours and this it one of the most informative. I know I've missed stuff but that'll give you an idea.

WOW...Even more excited now Thanks for the info.

When we booked the Disney lady on the phone said we were to go to Customer Services at Epcot at 8.45am - then after the 7 hours we'd be delivered back there.

I'm most looking forward to the tunnels at MK. oh and lunch LOL.

Jim covered the basic idea of it. I haven't paid attention to the recent updates so I don't know what is taking the place of Body Wars. Some of the other places around the MK you will visit are the warehouses for storage of different things. Also the -construction- warehouse where they have everything built/rehab'd. Like was already mentioned, this is the best tour (in my opinion).

That's what I was forgetting!!! The Xmas warehouse and the fabrication shop. I was still drooling over the lunch :wink:

I am not a fan of 'mixed' foods so i wasn't impressed witht he lunch. But I did at least try it all since it was -free-. I will admit I did enjoy some of it.
