From what I've heard (Which isn't much) it's mostly mechanical stuff. I'm sure we'll hear rumors abound about some of the changes made in DL coming here.

Being down for 90 percent of the day on New Year's Eve because of problems ticked the company off a lot. Also, no, 7-8 months is not enough to make a lot of changes. . . though I look at what they did with RnRC and I wonder what they could pull off.

I was under the impression that any long rehab (like this one) would be to upgrade the ride to something along the lines of what DL or DLP has done in the past with their upgrades.

I thought the originally rumored "14 month" rehab was going to be used to upgrade the system.

Oh well. Guess we'll know when it gets leaked or when it's done.

Paris' Space Mountain blows the WDW one out of the water. Having ridden both, I much prefer the Paris one. Although the Paris one does have a certain bumpiness to it, but then.. so does the WDW one.

The entire tomorrow land has this cool Jules Vern thing going on. I love it!

The space mountain there has a certain bumpiness to it... but it depends where you sit and the location of the moon really, because sometimes it is really smooth.

To be honest it is less bumpy than WDW's Space Mountain.

In the end, any upgrade to WDW is a good one... it hurts my back like crazy and I am like 29 years old for goodness sakes.

It's always amazing that they built the original IASW from scratch in 9 months, and yet they now need at least a year to do any kind of major refurbishments to anything. Truly we are not ''The Greatest Generation."

I never mind the bumpiness that much, but it would be nice if there were some more graceful way to exit the vehicle without feeling like you need the assistance of the Jaws of Life.

Ah, but it is ALWAYS easier to create from scratch than it is to renovate. You have to factor in demolition time... and you have to do it in such a way not to disrupt or destroy what you want to keep.

imagine what they could do if they could close the park for a month. do refurbs then reopen! take a simple month like Feb. or Jan. they could hold all kinds of re-opening parades etc.

Well I really enjoy our Space Mountain because of its originality. I've been on the one in DL and it's truly amazing. I've seen videos of Paris and looks great but I think after this refurb we will probaly have the best of all the space mountains. Maybe even a few inversions thrown in there .
