My advice is ditch the list and use something like TripAdvisor. Find hotels near where you want to stay and look up reviews there. You can also refer to the Unofficial Guide to WDW (Ding!) for a list of great off-site hotels. Their list includes some hotels on I-Drive.

I took your advice & tried to book it. As luck would have it, it's not available...grrr, so back to square one. I think I am looking at the Peabody??
One of the biggest challenges I have is traveling as far as we do, being that close to Disney & not taking my kids to the parks. If it were my choice I'd do a day at Universal & the rest at Disney. Our friends want to do all the days at Universal...is there really enough to do for 3- 4 days? I've never been. I'm always happy to try something new, but I also get to return in Sept. I think we'll have to do a night at DTD & maybe a meal at one of the resorts, you know, "for the children."

Sorry to hear the Renaissance isn't available! I don't know anything about the Peabody.
