According to Eyes & Ears...

The Magic of Disney Animation tour at the Disney-MGM Studios will close later this month and reopen in midNovember as a new animation-tour experience.Guests will begin the new tour by visiting “Drawn to Animation,” an area that will feature a live artist who will
interact with an on-screen, animated version of Mushu from Mulan, which was the first full-length animated film produced by Walt Disney Feature
Animation Florida at the Disney-MGM Studios. Guests visiting this area will
learn about the importance of character development by hearing about the thought process that went into creating Mushu and by watching a video that introduces some of the artists who helped create the character.
Next, guests will enter a working area of Walt Disney Feature Animation
Florida. Cast Members will be available to answer questions as guests guide themselves through this portion of the tour, which will allow guests to watch animators and artists working on their latest film projects.
Finally, guests will have the opportunity to exit the attraction or create their own art at the “Animation Academy,” an area filled with Mickey Mouse-themed animator tables. A Disney artist will guide guests through their creation of a Disney-character drawing, which they will keep as a souvenir. “This is a chance for guests to learn how Disney creates an animated film, see production taking place and then learn from a Disney artist how to draw a character,” said Theron Skees, show producer
for Walt Disney Imagineering. “This is the only theme park in the world where guests can see animators doing actual production work on feature film projects on a daily basis. The new animation tour will offer Disney-MGM Studios guests another opportunity to be part of the
world of showbiz.”
