Not strictly DHS news, but it might interest some of you.

Tokyo Disney Resort is retiring BraviSEAmo later this year and will open its own version of Fantasmic! in early 2011.

Given Tokyo's history of making awesome things, it could be well worth looking out for :)

The concept image on that URL kind of makes it look like a cross between Fantasmic! and World of Colour :)

I totally agree with this. I've never seen it in person, however I've got a HD video of it on my computer at home, and I imported the soundtrack CD B)

An interesting thing to note is that at the WDW press events over the last couple of days, they've been using some of Tokyo's music (They used a short burst of BraviSEAmo at the Summer Nightastic announcement, and another Tokyo show's background music at the VoluntEARing event yesterday). It would be awesome if they brought BraviSEAmo to WDW (although I can't think of a place to put it without displacing other cool shows).

Here's a higher resolution shot of the concept image: http://www.reflectionsofimagination.com/20...okyo-disneysea/

Yeah, I think it's lame to take out a show as unique and sophisticated as BraviSEAmo and replace it with a rehashed version of a show that's been playing everywhere over here since time began.

From what I've read, Tokyo will be getting the head on a stick style Maleficent (think DHS) instead of the new spectacular version that recently debuted at Disneyland.
