I just posted some aerial views of MGM in the Photo Album. These were taken around Memorial Day weekend this year.

Also posted two park maps, one from 1999 the other from 2002

Took a helicopter tour (Orlando Helitours near Celebration) Since the terror threat level at that time was "high" he could only go to certain areas of Disney. We went over Downtown Disney, near EPCOT, over MGM, Typhoon Lagoon, Blizzard Beach, All-Stars, Wide WOrld of Sports and near Pop Century. When they are able to fly again over the MK we plan on doing it again.

Disney's no fly zone for high terror levels is just around the MK! Disney and local authorities do not play around with it either. I know in early June they forced two planes to the ground that were planning on doing 'advertising' over the MK.

For the full Disney Tour it is about $65 a person (15-20mins). We did the Disney light version for about $35 a person (8-10mins). They also do do a full Orlando one which includes Universal, Sea World dntown Orlando etc. The helicopter was a Bell Jet LongRanger (my preferred ride). It was worth it and I will be doing it again when they are allowed to fly over the MK.

Nope, it's for all of the parks. Helicopter no fly zone and aircraft no fly zone. Unless extreme weather causes them need to fly lower, no one is supposed to fly over if they are at less than 3,000 feet.

Not to doubt or discredit you Jillian, but Disney makes the statments that the no-fly zone is over the entire WDW, but it really is just over the MK. I believe they do this for their safety (which I agree with) so that people think it is over the entire WDW land area. The Aerial Pics I posted of MGM are from the time when the no-fly zone was active and the national alert level was -high-.

The flight I took in the Bell Long Ranger only had three people, the pilot, myself and my roommate. But we did have room for two more :-D

The overall aerial from the Park can be found online in several place. I never claimed it as my own. With one of my jobs I do have access to much better and more up to date images than what I posted. I could tell you exactly how many people were standing on Sunset Blvd at certain times and days. For security reasons I am not allowed to give the information out to the general public.

As for the other aerials, yes they are mine. I did take a helicopter over WDW during Memorial Day weekend this year and was able to take some nice pics that I have shared with those that care to look.

Could you find me? :D Now I'm going stand there and wave to the sky everyday at work and see how many guests I can get to do the same ;) That would be pretty cool though
