When is fantasmic going to be showing in 2009?

Have they announced which days of the week will be idol and which will be fantasmic?

Idol every night

Fantasmic's Schedule will vary depending on the amount of people projected for that week

WDW usually publishes their park schedule online approx 6 months in advance. While they continue to update & refine after publishing, you are pretty safe with big items like Fantasmic! being on the days and times originally published but double check closer to the date you will be there. I've been burned a couple of times by schedule changes they've made after their original posting....

Starting in January, Fantasmic will be reduced to two shows per week. Idol will be every night and the schedule for Fantasmic should be posted on the Disney site.

Well maybe it will be something predictable...

I imagine soon it will be like dlp... Fireworks on fridays only... Or fantasmic on weekends only I guess.

Thanks matt, that's what I was looking for. I guess in january I will start looking around.

Rinjo-
Not sure of you know about WDW's online calendar or not. Just in case you don't.... WDW has published the park schedules on-line through June 2009. Just remember what's published now for that later months may change.
Go to www.disneyworld.com
On the bright blue bar maybe 1/3 down the screen, one of the options is "calendar". Click on that and it will bring you to a screen to select a specific month and park. Click on any individual day and you will see schedule details for that day as well as attraction closures.

I used this method...it took me a few minutes to figure to click on the individual date...I knew the "blue" numbers were special for a reason ;) The calendar is frustrating because you can only see one day, one park at a time. I also had the added difficulty of having to switch between months. Grrrrrrrrr!

The biggest bummer, Fantasmic is only showing on Saturday night during the week we are there. This also happens to be the Sat of ESPN weekend, so I don't know if we will brave the crowds. A quiet swim, an ice cream a B&C or just a beer in the room sounds appealing too.

it looks like mondays and thursdays in jan; but in feb it is all over the place - no set days, but still only twice each week; they are late in posting may hours which arent out yet; but since dining has now gone to 90 days out to book all should fall into place;

It IS a bit "clunky" to have to get get details for each day for each park but at least it's available!! JUST REMEMBER TO CHECK BACK CLOSER TO YOUR TRIP TO MAKE SURE SCHEDULES HAVEN"T BEEN UPDATED because WDW is known for revising park hours, times of parades & fireworks, etc more than once after calendar is published.... I've been burned a couple times on their updates!!!!

I have just accepted the fact that we will not see Fantasmic when visiting the parks during this restricted schedule. Now we just need to hit the rides while it's going on.

I spoke with a CM this afternoon who said they've been randomly adding another show if needed. She said shows have been PACKED on nights when Fantasmic is on, as in the show is completely full well before the show even begins.

I was there this past Thursday and they only did one show and it was PACKED. I don't think there was any empty space even on the far ends. Lots of Brazilian tour groups....

I recommend you all contact Disney and complain about the Fantasmic cuts. It's ridiculous that there has been any cut in the show.
