August 24
1956 – Omnibus opens at Disneyland Park
1983 – Walt Disney World leaders dedicate the Epcot Teacher’s Center

August 25
1989 – Leaders dedicate The Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular and the Ewok Village at the Disney-MGM Studios

August 26
1989 – Disney Store opens at the Smith Haven Mall in Lake Grove Long Island, NY
2003 – Stitch! The Movie, the direct-to-video sequel to Lilo & Stitch is released
2008 – The Little Mermaid: Ariel’s Beginning is released on DVD
2008 – Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas Collector’s Edition is released

August 27
1958 – Fire Engine opens at Disneyland Park
1964 – Mary Poppins debuts at Grauman’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood, CA
1995 – Aladdin’s Royal Caravan closes at the Disney-MGM Studios
1998 – Camera Center on Main Street, U.S.A. moves to Town Square Exposition Hall

August 28
1929 – “Mickey’s Follies” (Mickey short featuring song “Minnie’s Yoo Hoo”) is completed
1957 – “Perri” (first and only “True-Life Fantasy”) debuts
1966 – 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea exhibit closes at Disneyland Park
1995 – The Pleasure Island Exxon station opens at the Walt Disney World Resort
2000 – “Roger Ebert & The Movies” becomes “Ebert & Roeper at the Movies”
2003 – Lucky the dinosaur debuts at Disney’s California Adventure Park

August 29
1955 – The Chicken of the Sea Pirate Ship and Restaurant opens at Disneyland Park
1964 – Walt Disney Pictures releases Mary Poppins nationwide

August 30
1995 – Leaders preside over the ground-breaking of Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort

What would you folks think if I spend about a week getting all of the dates together and compiling one giant list on the front page of this topic? Possibly making it a sticky?
Professionals admit to the problem. Alcoholics claim they have no problem.

I think it would be great. Yes, people have been following this all year. :lol:

One suggestion if you do that: there are three segments that you skipped when posting individually. Can you add them in the complete list or maybe just post the individual ones, too? You skipped:

Feb 9-22
May 4-17
June 22-July 5

Thanks for doing a great job and a lot of work.
