(I'm combining Day 9 & 10 because not much happened)
We woke up early on Friday...around 8:15am. I turned on the computer so I could go buy Bon Jovi tickets that were going on sale at 9am. Using Leslie's advice, I got excellent floor seats the minute the tickets went on sale. 8) Thanks Les!
After the ticket buying, we packed the van, bid goodbye to Orange Lake and went to breakfast. We ate at a nearby Perkins and then we were on the highway. After a loooong drive, we stayed at a hotel in Southern Virginia around 10pm. I checked my email and went to bed.
We were up and at them early again. We grabbed a cheap continental breakfast at the hotel and hit the roads again. After about an hour or so of driving, we hit a torrential downpour that continued throughout the day. Around noontime we got to Washington, dropped Emily off and got back on the road. After a gas & bathroom break, we arrived back at my apartment in New York City. We had a nice dinner at a Thai place and I came back to the somewhat messy apartment I had left(plus tons of mail).

Parents paying = good: It was so nice to go to nice restaurants at the parks and not have to worry about paying for it. God bless parents.
Epcot can handle alot more people than any other park: Epcot is the best suited park IMHO to handle large crowds. I know it was packed there, but it never felt like it was that crowded there.
Brazillian & Japanese coke tastes aweful: I sampled these beverages at Ice Station Cool....all I can say is blech! :|
You don't have to arrive at the gate as early as years past: In years past, Disney would open the parks anywhere from 15-45 minutes before the official opening. This year and last, they would let folks past the gate maybe 10 minutes before opening and then hold them up with a rope until the official opening time. Good news for those who can benefit from a few extra minutes of sleep.
MGM is now my favorite park, period: Previously, the Magic Kingdom held a special place in my heart because of the memories I have there as a kid. I can say now that MGM is the park for me.
No one answers the phone at Leslie's house: God help anyone needing to get in contact with her when she's not home
Family trips are still fun: No matter how old you get, going with the family is still great
I hope you all enjoyed these trip reports as much as I enjoyed writing them. I appreciate all the feedback and can't wait for my next trip!
