According to the Annual Passholder newsletter, the dance party at Rock 'n Roller Coaster will be occurring on Thursdays through Sundays—and Tuesdays nights. In addition, Mulch, Sweat and Shears will perform at the Sorcerer's Hat.

Kind of odd that they're going to do it up at Rock and Roller Coaster. If they're adding new effects to Tower of Terror, won't this section of the park be kind of loud?

It will be interesting to see what impact either have on each other but I don't foresee it an issue. For what it's worth, I remember riding Tower during the Tower of Terror 13k races and they have a DJ in the area between Coaster and Tower and it not bothering me on Tower.

Is this a hard-ticket event? I hope not. I hate it when Di$ney comes up with more ways to rip you off. :)

No, it's part of Summer Nightastic....just a seasonal celebration at night.

I have some new info from Disney about the Rock 'n Glow Dance Party.

Quote

Three hours before park closing every Tuesday and Thursday through Sunday, Guests can gather on Hollywood Blvd. to take part in the Rock 'n Glow Dance Party. There, the Mulch, Sweat and Shears landscaping crew and aspiring rock stars will kick the party into high gear. Between appearances by the band and DJ, some Disney characters may appear to take "dancing in the streets" to new levels

The band and DJ will perform on a stage in front of the Sorcerer Hat. Characters will include Goofy, Pluto, Chip and Dale.

Thanks for the info Paul. I presume Tower of Terror effects only occur during the 3 hours as well?

I cant' seem to find a specific answer, but this quote below makes me think most of the new effects can be experienced throughout the day, save those that require the sun to set.

"Guests can experience the new drop sequence daily, June 6-August 14."

Also found this:

"Typically, the Rock N' Glow Party will run from 7:45-10:30 p.m"

Yesterday we went to DHS at 5am to get in line for celeb autograph and Mulch Sweat and Shears were practicing at the stage, it was kinda cool because they had the light effects on and they were doing firework checks like the green light that comes on when Malefecient entesr the show at MK castle stage, they sang a couple of songs.
