Not sure if I should put this in Trip Report section because it doesn't relate to DHS so I plopped it here.

We went on the tour of the Suite in CInderellas Castle a couple of days ago that was a DVC owner exclusive. It was awesome!!! The suite was smaller than I expected and appeared less gawdy in person that it seemed in photos I've seen. The tour guides said the space was originally empty, then a space used by phone operators. It was then turned into a green room for performers before being converted into the Suite. The amount of information they had on this Suite was incredible. They also mentioned that the Suite will continue after the neverending (my word) Year of a Million Dreams as some sort of giveaway to guests but the details are being discussed. Here are a few of the pics I took...

Great photos there. Thanks for sharing with those who will never ever get to visit that part of the castle ever in his lifetime.

Love the photos, thanks for posting them. I would have loved to have attended this but alas, I'm not a DVC member. It really was a unique opportunity for DVC members to be able to go in there.

Did you notice anything that can't be captured in film?

Because the area isn't huge, it was tough to cature more than a small piece of each area. It is all decorated very high end and "classy baroque". There are fiber optics embedded in the back wall of the fireplace (sort of like the ones in the sidewalk between Innoventions in EPCOT) that sparkle and occasionally burst into fireworks. The back wall of the fireplace also has a Hidden Mickey I couldn't capture. The floor is amazing - some sort of high lustre granite or composite that has lots of sparkly stuff in it that sounds tacky but wasn't. In addition to falling in love with the jetted tub & surrounding mosaic murals, I loved the "throne" (pic in Facebook)....

I was one of the lucky few who were chosen to stay in the castle suite...on my birthday, no less!!! It was nothing short of spectacular. Disney did not miss a detail on this one!! The underwater lighting in the bathtub, the mirrors that magically turned into TVs with the wave of a "magic wand" (touch screen remote control). The antiques, the EVERYTHING!!! Beautiful, tasteful, and truly magical!!!

The tour guides did tell us about them but it was daytime and a picture of them wouldn't show anything so I didn't even try to capture that feature.
