There was a shuffle on the entire EMH for Thursday. MK was supposed to have morning EMH, now it's morning EMH at AK and evening EMH at Epcot and DHS and the fireworks at DHS at 7pm. I don't have any other info.

Even Cast Member sites aren't giving any info. There is a page about offerings at DHS on the HUB and usually they have a description of what each thing is. All they say here is that it will be the 19th with no word on the duration of the show and no description other than "Nighttime Spectacular."

If I'm guessing, I'd say we'd get the New Year's Eve Fireworks featuring Mulch, Sweat and Shears just slightly retooled. I'll see if I can squeeze any information out tomorrow at work.

Agreed, I think this will be very similar to July 4/NYE fireworks. Probably also explains why the sorcerer's hat stage isn't down yet

Now we know why they did this, because the president is coming to MK and they want the least amount of people there, althoug from the HUB they blocked CM's main entrance pass for that day for MK, so they are expecting higher than normal crowds at MK.
As to Mulch Sweat and Shears providing the music for the fireworks I'm not sure since the internal schedule for them hasn't changed for Thursday...oh well, there goes the hope of this being a more regular occurence

I've got a dinner event that night but hoping I can make it. Either way, Yulady can you take photos of the fireworks for me?

Planning on it. We'll also stay a bit for EMH.

I'm hoping to make it. Thinking I'll sneak in a few minutes before show time.

The show was beyond awesome!!!! We were in the perfect spot, far enough away from the hat to see the fireworks but close enough to see the stage. My biggest annoyance was that WDW did NOT notify guests about the last minute schedule changes. My friends from out of town and I were staying at DVC Boardwalk Villas all week and only found out about Rock the Night and the other schedule changes by accident. You would think WDW would at least send a general room voicemail to all guests staying in their rooms telling guests to stop by Front Desk to get a revised Times Guide. A pet peeve of mine but not a surprise is that the WDW website did not reflect all the schedule changes either.....

Communication between guests and WDW has never been great. Heck, there are plenty of guests who have no clue that FASTPASS exists or how it works.

In there defense, the park management and other cast were only informed of the changes two days in advance at the most. Not a lot of time to communicate to 60,000 employees and twice as many guests.

@ Darthstitch - I know it's a lot to communicate but to everyone, but WDW just doesn't have their act together in some respects. It was communicated to news media that all guests staying on property had info about the changes placed under their room doors. In fact, even after I wrote an email to Guest Services complaining, their response was that we "should have received something under our room door". We had 3 separate rooms at Boardwalk Villas and none of them received the paper nor did the hotel even have the courtesy of sending out a bulk voicemail message the night before that simply said, "Due to President Obama's visit tomorrow, some park hours and attractions have changed. Please stop by Concierge or Guest Relations if you have need additional information." They had time to print up revised Times Guides and that certainly takes more lead time than a quick voicemail to each room does.
