Hello all!
I've got my tickets booked, and I'm spending Christmas and New Years at Disney.
Last time I went was around 2001, so I'm sure many things have changed, such as the introduction of Lights, Motors, Action!

There's only adults this time, so there's no worrying about children to prevent us from going on the best rides in the park. Can you suggest a good way of getting on all the best rides and attractions during this busy period? (I do plan on spending as much time as possible on R'n'R, but I'm sure others will beg for a change of scenery after riding it for the 4th time in a row)

One final question:
Rock n Roller Coaster. Please tell me that it's still hard core Aerosmith and hasn't been turned into some "candy store rock n' roll, corporation jellyroll" attraction. I'm pretty much counting on it to get my Aerosmith fix, both in terms of the ride itself and the merch on offer, I'd be devastated if its been taken over by the likes of tweenybopper rock n' rollers [ie. Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers]...

Anyspam, haven't been on here in yonks, so hope you're all well, and look forward to hearing what you have to say!

Get yourself a copy of the Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World and follow the touring plans in the back of the book. They will be invaluable for the time of the year you are going. Show up at the park at park opening time and follow the plans and you will be many steps ahead of everyone else :salut:

Cheers Matt!
Shall have to hunt around for that!

Feels so good to be going back, I really want a chance to be an extra in the Indy show.. is there any restrictions, such as age?

--I don't know of any age restrictions. Good luck. I hope to get the same opportunity sometime soon.

Nope, no age restrictions. Just show a lot of enthusiasm because that will get you noticed.

Hehe, I can do that no problem!
Anywhere specific I should sit in the amphitheater to give me a better chance?
This'll probably be the last chance I get to go to Disney with my family , so I wanna do as much as possible!
How about the Artist of the Day that you did a while back, Matt? Do they still do that?

(Sorry if I'm asking a load of dumb questions, it's just I haven't been in such a long time, and subsequently I feel like a total noob all over again!)

In regards of where to sit in the theater, as close to the front and center as you can seems to be the best.

I'm not sure if they are still doing Artist of the Day since the store it occurred in has been re-arranged. I shall inquire into it!

DOH, I'd forgotten all about the artist of the day. I had meant to look into that during my October trip.

I heard Artist of the Day was strictly for kids. I don't know how Matt got himself roped into it.

You should definitely ride in the front seat on RnR, it is the best!

I ADORE front on RnR!
You literally get a facelift during the launch.

I'm finally in Florida - man the weather is so much better than England!
I'll be heading off to the Studios on New Years eve, as that's when it's open latest.

Hey guys!
Just got back from the Studios (yes, crazy I know when I could have celebrated the new year in there, but I have a 12 hour flight tomorrow and need the sleep!)

I got to ride RnR twice, once at the front
Was rather scared that I wouldn't be able to at all as the ride was closed until further notice due to "technical problems"

Longest queue I saw all day was for RnR and that was 180 minutes.

Finally, I managed to be chosen as an extra in Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular!!! Extreme awesomeness!

Happy New Year!
