Seems like Disney was planning it from the start and the residents want to to stay basically the same way... wait and see.

They community wants to keep it basically the same as of right now. DIsney was planning on getting out from the start. Seems like they wanted to set the foundation and leave the future up to the residents.

I don't think Celebration will change much without Disney. When I was there in September they acted like Disney was just an area attraction. This was a lot different than the atmosphere when I was there in May.

This may also be a blessing because with all the cutbacks in the company, Celebration is now self supporting. With all the rules and restrictions, they really want to keep control and maintain the atmosphere of the community.
