Anyone hear any news or rumors of ticket price increases this year? Or when traditionally it happens?

I am thinking of getting tickets later this summer (if I have cash left after paying some bills) so I have some at the current prices.

I have not heard anything about an increase but I believe they've occurred in August. If you can afford it, you'd be smart to buy your tickets now anyway because you never know.

yeah that is the plan. I just have to save the money for the summer to pay some bills at the arena is slowest during the summer (only WNBA and a few concerts at the moment), so my money goes for the important things like gas, food, and debt :-)

then comes Disney :-) So when the arena picks back up I can justify getting my future tickets at that time. But thanks for the heads up about the traditional timeframe of August

In the past when Disney has announced ticket price increases they've given people a 2 or 3 day window to purchase tickets before the price increase kicked-in. So, you will probably have an opportunity to purchase your tickets before the increase occurs.

An increase has occurred in August before, but it seems the most common time is at the end of the year. Keep in mind they can increase ticket prices anytime they feel it is necessary.

Thanks. I'll keep a close watch on all the boards as I am sure someone will mention it here :-)

There is a rumor posted on another board that Disney will increase ticket prices this Sunday Aug. 2nd. Can anyone confirm?

Generally, Disney Increses Prices One Time a Year, Usually around Christmas Time when the new "theme" of the year is starting to come into place.

But Knowing Disney's Current Trend right now, the Prices will increase on September 27th lol. Just a random guess though

They have been raising prices in August as well for the past few years, hence the speculation.

love that word "speculation" makes the blood boil and the gas price rise. laugh. perhaps they need more money because it's costing them so much to close Fantasmic down to 2 nights a week in 2009.

They announced yesterday on the 31st that prices were going up on August 3rd. The one day pass is going from $71 to $75 and the Park hopper option is increasing from $45 to $50. You have until midnight today to get your tickets at the current prices. If you don't have enough for the tickets you want at this time they may offer Flexpay and if they do that is the way to go.
