Since several of us watched the Fairy Tale wedding special on Food Network, I thought of an idea. One of the contestants in the contest afterwards had fun cakes, so I went to his website to check them out. I found this while I was there

"DISNEY MAGIC On the occasion of Disney's maiden voyage of Disney Magic, they had us create a to-scale version of the ship. "

Even if you couldn't have a full out Disney wedding at WDW or DL, if you could have any Disney themed cake, what would you have on it or shaped as?

A cake based on MK's 25th anniversary when the castle looked like a cake might make some sense

I would have it themed as Beauty and the Beast. Not sure exactly, but it is my favorite disney movie and I think a beautiful cake could be created.

You know, a lot of weddings were actually cancelled that year.

I'd do a Cinderella themed cake with Cinderella Caste ontop with blue fondant shaped like clouds around the bottom make it look like a castle in the clouds, a piece that revolves around the cake in the middle with Cinderella and Prince Charming dancing around it, and then the coach, the mice and the Fairy Godmother on the bottom revolving in the opposite direction.

I could easily see a Tower of Terror Cake. Tall and scary.

Wasn't the Castle made to look like a pink cake during the celebration? I remember people calling it the Pepto-Bismol Castle.

I have all my pics from that year labeled "Ugly Castle". Neat Idea, bad execution.

Well the Castle was ugly but as a cake it might look good.

I was there that year and we didn't know ahead of time. When I entered past through the Main Street U.S.A. lower level area and saw the castle, I probably just stopped and said.. "What...the....hell!" I didn't know at the time that the castle was fiberglass so I was concerned about them being able to repaint it. Also, the foam-like substance they used swayed in the wind and it looked horrible.

Anyway, back to the cakes. I would like to have an RnRC or Tower themed one. Who knows, maybe a monorail one would be nice.

The last one looks the best to me. Does anybody know if the blue castle on top is eatable?

Here are some of the cakes that Disney offers for their Fairy Tale Weddings.

If it was one that Disney made, then most likely it's a dyed chocolate :)

Of the gallery of Disney ones, I like #12 a lot, #19 is cute, it looks like confetti stuck in the icing though :), #21 is really nice too.

long time lurker here; since you are talking about disney cakes here is a link to my daughter's castle bat mitzvah cake from jan 15, 2005; mike's amazing cakes are wonderful and we really wanted one from him, but when we called him to have one made, he told us that they weren't kosher so we decided to go locally;

http://groups.msn.co...ls/shoebox.msnw

the cake is on the cover of 'Bat Mitzvah Pics 1'

and if you look closely at the other pics you will see my mickey mouse yarmulke :-);
