I saw a Sneak Preview of The Incredibles tonight. Radio Disney was on hand handing out bags and stickers as well as throwing out candy. And yes, I do mean throwing it. I think everyone in the audience got hit in the head at least once.

If anyone wants a more detailed report of the film itself, you can Private Message me, but I won't post plot spoilers here. I will mention a few things that were pleasant surprises.

1. Before the movie, a preview played for a 2005 Disney/Pixar release called Cars. It looked great. The main characters appear to be, surprise!, cars.

2. There was a short feature called Bounding just before the feature. It was an amusing little story in song about a sheep in the desert.

3. As for the feature itself, it was much better than I expected. Pixar has done well animating animals and such in the past, but I wasn't always impressed by their more human characters. Most of the characters in this feature were great.

I've spent way more time than I care to admit watching super hero television shows (animated and otherwise) and reading comic books over the years. This fanboy loved this new spin on super heroics, even though their powers were not all that original.

All in all, a great story told well. That is the power of Disney and Pixar. Here's hoping that they realize that before their split is permanent.

Just saw it and I thought it was good. Better than Nemo? No. But better than say Bug's Life. It was entertaining, had some funny scenes and I'd recommend seeing it.

I haven't seen it, but everybody is telling me that I act and look like Violet. (As in the gloomy part.)

Saw it a few weeks ago, forgot to post on it.
Pretty good movie, Nemo was better.

I loved the theme that if everyone is special, then nobody is. I have never heard a truer statement.

I thought the theme of the film(and of every Disney film) is to buy as much movie-related merchandise as possible :)

Exactly Matt. A great example is Chicken Little. Stiill over 6 months away and they are already advertising and selling stuff.

But that's the same thing they did with Lilo and Stitch and everyone loved it.

Well it's no secret Disney loves to squeeze every bit of merchandising out of their movies.

Name a studio that doesn't. Look at George Lucas. He is the master.
