Monday 8/12/08 - Day 1 (Daytime)
This way a very long day.

FLIGHT - Our 9:35 SWW flight left without delay. I like the new way they're boarding people now. Instead of sitting on the floor for 2 hours to get a good seat, we could actually have breakfast at the snackbar.





ARRIVAL - We took Magical Express to the All Movies Resort, which was our first time there. We checked into the Woody section, which was really nice because it is close to the food court and the buses.









THE STUDIOS - We were at the Studios by 2:30. Just in time to see the COH do the pre parade walk around. We tried to say hello to as many of the CM's as possible. Then we went down by the Villian store because the HPW guys do a skit at that time. It was only The Boss and Frederick; Sparky was out. They were doing the "treat the tree with canisters A and B" Everyone gets wet; we welcomed that.





BLOCK PARTY - We watched the 3:00 parade (at 3:00). This was our first time for the new parade. We were so excited when we heard a familiar voice. The first Green Army Man was the CM who used to be HPW's Lenny, who has been gone for about 2 years. The 3rd Soldier was the COH CM who plays Officer Les Manley.






TOY STORY MANIA - Since we arrived at 2:30 all the fast passes were gone and there was no way I was standing on line for 100 minutes. We lucked out though. Someone leaving gave us their fast passes. It was fun.

TSM was the only ride we went on; our main focus was the COH. The last show is 7:00; "The Funniest Citizen" was won by Kitty Calico.
Between shows we did the normal stuff, like get fries and check out the books at Star Tours.

Great first day. I had no idea about the Green Army Men Sarge's and their former roles. I think we need to name Maureen "Ms. Streetmoshphere"

How fun! I am on something like day 7 and I wont go to the studios for more than a week...

Well maybe we will bump into each other somewhere!!!

Hey in the parks is there a schedule for the COH soemwhere? Like guest relations or what?

You could ask Guest Relations for a CoH schedule. Sometimes they'll give it to you, or sometimes they'll just brush you off claiming that it will ruin the spontaneity of the show.

There is no written schedule for the COH. The Guest Relations by the fountain never knows anything about the COH. If you have a question, you have to go to the one by Sid's; at least if they don't know, they will call the performers.

But the typically schedule is:
9:00 park opening (for the opening only, I believe)
10:30 and then on the half hour
2:30 is the walk around and mingle with the crowd waiting for the parade
2:30 you can find the HPW guys in front of the Villian store

4:00 and then on the hour, for both the COH and HPW
7:00 is the last show, for the HPW and the COH's "Funniest citizen"

* my son usually likes to watch the HPW, but at 7:00 I usually like to watch the "Funniest Citizen" because you get to see all the COH who were on for the afternoon. I typically sit, on the street, right in front.
