I came across an interesting Studios Fossil and i was hoping someone could elaborate more on it.

"Father's Day Home Improvement Power Parade: This procession included Hot Rods, riding mowers, weed whackers, leaf blowers, and other things that appeal to Dads everywhere."

Any information about this, including What, When, and Where, would be appreciated. (Why isn't included because i already know the answer "Because we like you!")

I've never heard of it before, although I'm sure it had some tie in with the tv show "Home Improvement" starring Tim Allen.

It was at the Studios back when the series started (Believe that was the time frame). Ran down Hollywood Blvd. Think of it as a mid-day parade like the ones we've seen at MK lately.

Was it just on Father's Day, or was it a daily parade?

Interesting, When we rode the backlot tour in the giftshop after the AFI gallery there was a Binford baseball cap and shirt that has been on sale for like ever.

I VAGUELY remember this parade... I think I only saw it one. Here's what I found on AllEars.net dated June 1997: From Allears.net - June 1997:
More Power to Dad -- Disney-MGM Studios Hosts Father's Day Parade June 15 - Give Dad some star treatment with an action-packed Father's Day of fun at Disney-MGM Studios June 15. Fathers with a hearty grunt or those with a closet full of flannel can participate in the Tim "The Tool Man" Taylor and Al Borland look-alike contest at Theater of the Stars. Every member of the family can grab a viewing spot along Hollywood Boulevard for the Father's Day Home Improvement "More Power" parade. The parade, sponsored by Binford Tools, features the Binford Blower Brigade, the "More Power" Monster Pick-up Truck and much manly machinery.
