I ate at Teppan Edo last night (Japan, Epcot) and this was my first time here since the restaurant was rehabbed and the name changed. Food was still quite good, albeit expensive (and they don't take DDE :x ). I had the chicken and steak hibachi meal and this place is still a favorite of mine to eat at. The chef we had had a good sense of humor and overall I can say I had a good time and would recommend eating there.

We were thinking about going there next trip but it does seem expensive. We like a local Japanese restaurant that offers a similar menu but it's more 1 price for appetizer, meal etc. (I think they way the Epcot restaurant used to be?) I didn't know they don't take DDE! Glad you mentioned it.

As I recall, the Japanese restaurants were fairly stingy with the discounts (which, I suppose, shows their true-to-life nature.) I don't think Tempura Kiku used to take the DDE or the DDP, although I think both the new restaurants are currently on the DDP.

One change I did notice is if you ordered a hibachi item, you used to get a free cup of soup but soup is now extra (Miso is about $3).

See, now that irks me almost as much as having to pay for steamed rice. Miso soup must cost like a dollar per vat to make.

I'd be better off getting my own Miso soup at the Japan gift shop whose name I can't seem to spell.
