Just curious what MGM does for the 4th? Just decided today that I will be heading down to WDW for this next weekend since I have never been there for the 4th and have it off for once.

Sorcery in the Sky is scheduled for the 4th at 9pm. Definetly worth seeing.

Where does it ''play' at or is it throughout the park? If so where is the best place to view?

It's based around the Chinese Theater so you can see it almost anywhere. Hollywood Blvd is probably the best place to view it. For more info on Sorcery in the Sky, try http://www.mgmstudios.org/sorcery.html

Hollywood Blvd definately the best place to see it. Not too close to the hat though, it does tend to block the view a bit.

Fantasmic will also be playing at a later time after the fireworks, 10:30.

Is the 4th the only showing this weekend for Sorcery?

Only on July 4th. The next time Sorcery will be showing is probably New Years.

They are not kidding when they say "only shown on a few select nights throughout the year"

Yup, 4th of July and New Year's Eve are the only nights we do Sorcery. It's such an awesome not to be missed show!

I could see parts of it from the party I was at. As well as Fantasy in the Sky and little bits of Illuminations and PI. We heard quite a bit of them :)

I don't have the one from the 4th of July but I have the one from New Years Eve, if thats ok...
They have it here:

http://www.wdwmagic...._in_the_sky.htm

They have the original one there but I didn't have a chance to take it.
I had these videos before that site went into this thing that know you have to pay....so..if any body wants I can hopefully email the video to you email address if it gose through or you can pay $5 for one month and see all the videos that site has....they have really good videos there. I took them from the site and kept them for me to watch so I don't have to go all the way online and look for the vid..I have a couple of others too...like rides and parades and fireworks.

TowerOfTerrorFreak@yahoo.com
Aerojackie@nyc.rr.com
or
The_Beatles_Rock_999@yahoo.uk.co

email any of those if you want a copy. I usually check TOTFreak@yahoo..etc..
