I was reading The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World 2010 earlier tonight and it says that Christmas - New Year's Day is one of the busiest times, but also says that the first week of November is extremely busy as well. I am wondering why that is, is there a special event taking place that week (besides the EPCOT F&W festival)? I will be up at Disney World from Nov 1st - 5th, and am trying to get an idea of the crowd levels.

I believe that first week in November is known as Jersey Week. It's a week off for educators in New Jersey when many descend upon WDW. That and F&W make for a dangerous combo.

correct. this year the 4th and 5th are off days up here in jersey. many take the week and go down to florida since kids would only miss 3 days instead of 5

Oh, never knew there was a week known as Jersey Week. I normally think most of November, except Thanksgiving, is less crowded so when I saw that the first week is extremely busy I was taken by surprise. Anyways, Thanks for clearing that up.
