I'm hearing that apparently the Kidcot thing from EPCOT will be brought over to the Studios. According to paperwork filed with Orange County, Coaster will be a test site of some sort.

Seems logical, more than likely add it to Tower as well. Not much for kids who can't ride to do there nowadays anyway.

Interesting.... :? Does this fit into the Studios theme? I guess if you use your imagination it can.

Over by ToT and R&RC is a great spot for something like that. There is nothing for the little kids to do in that area while they wait for the older "kids" to ride. There has been many times where we had to pass up one or both b/c our youngest was getting bored. Since bored for her means whiney and driving whoever is with her insane, we would say forget it. You can only look in so many stores or bribe her with so much ice cream before it's a losing battle. (We usually go 1st thing in the morning so PLayhouse Disney, Mermaid etc aren't running yet)

I like that they kept the Kidcot stations in World Showcase. My kids like doing the mask (sometimes to the point of obsession! MUST GET EVERY COUNTRY!) but they love the chance to meet & interact with the CM's more. They have more time to talk to them about their country than they would if the CM was working behind a counter somewhere.

The ones in WS I think aren't as good and we usually skip them.

I think it's a great idea and smart for Disney to do. I know lots of kids love the Kidcot stations at Epcot and whatever equivalent they bring to the Studios would be a welcome addition.

I think this is a great idea! Especially for my wife and I as we travel with two children and have to single rider swap often for those types of attractions. I know people (me included) don't really enjoy the poohs playful spot... I agree that they do not fit Walts Vision nor mine for my ideal Disney experience...

But darn if they don't sometimes have their purposes...

There's a phrase Mugsy uses a lot: Give the kid an ounce of whisky. Kid'll shut up for an hour or two at least.

That idea would work better than the play spot.

Mugsy wouldn't fit in the Magic Kingdom. Closest you could get to Mugsy in the MK are pirates.

Then again, most of the MK attractions are girl-oriented, leaving nothing for people like me. :(
