I'm considering attending but the price point is a little high. Anyone else going?

I'm sorry. I just posted this news again, I'll try and erase my post. So, yeah, the price is a little steep but it looks like an awesome event. Seriously thinking about going...and it doesn't look like you have to be attending CV, I just clicked on the link and it takes to to disney site to buy regular party tickets.
*Matt feel free to erase that other post I did, I don't know how to erase it completely

I've been to the last 2 celebrations in Indianapolis and L.A. and the special events are usually worth the money. I'm going on more of a budget this year than usual, but with disney hosting the party that makes it a must see for me! For anyone who enjoys the Star Wars shows at SWW you should try and check out CV. The shows are non stop all day. At any given time there is a mutitude of different halls hosting all kinds of shows, from the making of video games, toys, art and the bigger venues host talk shows with Celebrities about every other hour. Not to mention the huge vendors hall, autographs hall and prop and artifact halls. There's usually a lot more people at Celebrations than at SWW (many more costumes as well), but unless you are trying to score limited merchandise or trying to see someone like George Lucas himself, the lines aren't that bad once you find your way around.

I wonder how many people will insist that they must be placed in the ABSOLUTE last ride of Star Tours.

..only to find that after they've all gone the Cast Members that were working that night take themselves on *the* last ride?

According to some people on other sites this will not be the last day of the ride, they say it's suppose to go down mid september...anyways, as with all rumors we must wait for official Disney word. I am very tempted to buy tickets, do you guys think it will sell out in this month?? I think I could buy tickets at the begining of June. I hope they don't sell out.

Thanks Kara!!!

I'm looking at the package that they're offering if you click the button at the bottom of the page. All this was on my wish list. I get to stay at Disney and they drive. Which takes care of most of the "single woman traveling alone" issues. Have I mentioned that I worry?

As Yulady posted, I doubt this is the real last ride of Star Tours 1. There's no reason to believe that Star Tours wont be open the next day and thereafter for a little while longer. My guess is this event is more a "last hurrah", plus Disney recognizes LOTS of geeks will be in town and they can make a pretty penny off them.

I wonder if they will charge CV guests that aren't staying on property for parking.

Parking attendants are usually gone by park closing, so I don't think so

It is true that this will not officially be the last night for the ride... However, there will be a show at the Jedi Training Academy stage related to shutting the attraction down. Don't miss it.

I'm with you. I think the only benefit I may have is that I have a VIP pass for CV so I'll be able to talk to someone in July.
