Hey Everyone,

I just arrived here at Disney for my summer program. I'm gonna be working at All Star Sports.

I did have a question from a friend of mine. Something went wrong with her registration and she got placed in the wrong group. She asked to be transfered back to attractions and now she has to do
"WDW Studios Tour, backlands attractions"

Has anyone heard of this? I can't find anything about it on google, and she is really worried about this position.

Any info would be appreciated.

Welcome to the WDW CM Team!! I work at the Studios in Backlands Attractions as well. Basically what that means is that she could work at any attraction that was formerly part of the Backlot Tour, hence the name Backlands.

Attraction included are Lights, Motors, Action, Honey I Shrunk the Kids, Backlot Tour Shuttles (the Ride itself) or Water Tank (Special Effects Show), Toy Story Mania, One Man's Dream and Journey Into Narnia (Part of one CM Group), Little Mermaid and Playhouse Disney (Again Together), and/or Magic of Disney Animation.

From it saying Studio Tour i would assume it is either Shuttles or Water Tank. If it's Water Tank she is going into a good group since I am there Plus it is always a lot of fun

You work at the water tank; what fun. How do they pick volunteers for the pre-show? Being picked is my next goal.

My husband must have the "look" LOL He's been picked twice. Once with me when I was pregnant with my now 9 yr old & again on our last trip with my brother in law.

Actually, all you have to do is ask. Really it's that simple

Just ask? It couldn't be that simple, otherwise everybody would be able to do it.

Well, COH, first timers to the park wouldn't know to ask and many others wouldn't want to volunteer. Also, you need to be there enough before a show to be "prepped" so many may not want to wait around the extra time - especially if they have little (impatient) kids in their group.

Asking is easy to get picked for that. At worst you may have to wait a show or two before you could volunteer but it's pretty darn easy to get into that.

Okay then, tell me how do you get picked to play the role of the Beast in Storytime with Belle? I've been meaning to get that role since I first saw the attraction, and not once has Belle ever pointed in my general direction.

I don't work there so idk. But as for Harbor Attack, if your 16 or up and Understand English, all you have to do is ask

I've done the Harbor Attack thing twice. I just asked and just had to wait one show.
With Belle, i think she looks for an older father. You just have to be the type of person she is looking for

Im thinking about writing an article on attractions Id like to root against.

Basically Im calling out those attractions I wish would fail to the point that they would be replaced with better attractions.

Heres my list:



Timekeeper - This attraction has run its course. Its time for a new film.

Tom Sawyers Island - Boring...and could be onits way out anyway.

Body Wars - Too herky jerky...did it once...Star Tours much better

Innoventions - Been going downhill the last six year...no longer innovative.

Maelstrom - I dont want it to go...I want it to expand.

Sounds Dangerous - Bring back Monster Sound Show.

Lights Motors Action Stunt Car - I hope noone gets hurt.

Dinorama - Should have never been built...goes against the theme.

Those are the biggies in my book.

Some of the attractions on your list are gone, like Timekeeper and Body Wars, so...mission accomplished!
