Did any of you happen to see the rates for people doing the Wine & Dine 1/2 Marathon or Relay? These are the host hotels. I've run the ToT a few times & the rates were never this good & never for these hotels. Look at the Poly!!! I don't think there is any way I will be able to run it this fall due to a neck injury...hmmm, but maybe my husband will. I can cheer him on w/a Riesling in hand. :D

Disney's All-Star Sports Resort - rates starting at $52.07*
Disney's Port Orleans French Quarter Resort - rates starting at $73.25*
Disney's Beach Club Resort - rates starting at $174.50*
Disney's Polynesian Resort - rates starting at $186.88*

It's under the "travel details" section. In looking into it a little further, I think what they have done is post the price for one person for the room, but two people have to be in the room??!! Take a look & tell me what you think.

The other question I have: I think this is the weekend that free dining ends, would free dining be a better deal, let's say for a family of 4, or assuming you are doing the race, would these rates be better? Thoughts???

Yes, those rates are for singles and require double occupancy.

As for free dining, you need to do the math and see what option will be better. Dont forget with free dining, you have to pay full rack rates and that often makes free dining not as good a deal as just getting the best hotel deal you can find and paying cash for meals.

I'll be running the 5k that weekend through the Magic Kingdom. I also be attending the Wine & Dine party at EPCOT that same evening. Should be a lot of fun.

Right now I'm planning to use DVC points for my stay that weekend.

Are you able to buy tickets to the Food & Wine Party if you do just the 5K? I saw the MNSSHP tickets are included in the price as well.
